Bows and Arrows

Many friends of the outdoors like the idea to have a simple hunting weapon with them when they’re backpacking. A bow and some arrows are very desirable, but then again this is bulky and heavy. This video shows Jörg Sprave’s outdoor slingbow/slingshot survival bag. It contains – A slingbow (arrow shooting slingshot) – Three collapsible arrows – Three razor sharp broadhead tips – A Hunter Catapult slingshot – Ten steel balls – Spare bands and string – A small multi tool for changing bands in the field The whole bag weighs less than 3 pounds (about 1200 gramms). The slingbow shown in this video is built around a so-called “whisker biscuit”, the core of a popular arrow rest for bows. It does the job very well, but it had to be reinforced with steel in order to make it strong enough.
